Harmony Day Long Table Lunch, 2026

Thank you for joining us in the heart of the CBD for the inaugural BMG Long Table Lunch to celebrate Harmony Day, 2026.

On Friday 20 March from 12noon to 2pm, the Bunbury Multicultural Group (BMG) hosted a vibrant Harmony Day celebration that brought the community together in the heart of Bunbury.

Harmony Day is a time to celebrate connection, belonging and the many cultures that shape the region. Building on the success of previous events, BMG proudly delivered a central, shared celebration where people of all backgrounds came together to eat, connect and celebrate side by side.

From 12pm to 2pm, Victoria Street’s café strip was closed to traffic and transformed into a relaxed long-table lunch. Long tables lined the street, inviting attendees to slow down, share a meal, exchange stories and enjoy live music in a warm, inclusive atmosphere. The event was extremely well received, with a strong turnout and overwhelmingly positive feedback from the community.

Guests supported local Bunbury cafés and restaurants while enjoying the tree-lined street setting, with live music from Duende Indalo adding to the vibrant atmosphere throughout the event.

This Multicultural Grassroots Initiative grant activity received funding from the Australian Government.

The event was proudly supported by South32, City of Bunbury, and Office of Multicultural Interests (OMI).
