Dancing in the Park

Dancing in the Park was our first event in this format, celebrating culture, community and connection through a relaxed BYO picnic on the lawns of Guppy Park on Sunday 30 November from 1pm to 4pm.

Hosted by the Bunbury Multicultural Group, the afternoon brought people together to enjoy live music, shared food and a welcoming outdoor atmosphere. It was a simple, inclusive gathering that was really well received, with a strong sense of community throughout the event.

We enjoyed performances from Luz Del Bosque and Tchega, creating a vibrant soundtrack for the afternoon while families and community members relaxed, connected and took part in the day.

We also welcomed community and cultural groups who held information stalls, adding another layer of connection and engagement for attendees.

This event marked a new and successful format for us — casual, open, and focused on bringing people together in a shared space.

This Multicultural Grassroots Initiative grant activity received funding from the Australian Government.
