About Us

Established in 1991 Bunbury Multicultural Group organises innovative events and activities throughout the bunbury Geographe Region.

These activities are designed to help support and celebrate cultural diversity, remove barriers experienced by the local cultural and linguistically diverse (CALD) population, and welcome the existing community’s participation and attendance.

The Group is run by a Management Committee from various ethnic backgrounds.

The committee members are dedicated and experienced community members with a strong network in the greater Bunbury Geographe region. They meet regularly to develop, organise and run inclusive, multicultural projects.

These projects provide excellent opportunities for new migrants and refugees to connect with the wider community and help them with settlement and integration, networking, making new friends, sharing stories and feeling welcomed.

Voted Bunbury’s Community Group of the Year in 2017, the group loves working in collaboration with other community organisations and stakeholders in the region.

We are also regularly called upon by media and organisations such as schools, and local government to present information, offer comment, and sit on panels and steering committees to provide a multicultural perspective for various projects in the region.

We are always looking for volunteers to help us with our activities - so if you're interested in being involved please contact us.
